The Glens of Antrim Historical Society – February talk
The programme of monthly lectures presented by the Glens of Antrim Historical Society
resumes this Friday, 17 th February 2023, in St Mary’s Parish Centre, Cushendall,
commencing at 8.00pm. The speaker for the evening is Ballycastle-born Bernie Frayne and
the topic of his illustrated presentation is “Ballycastle and the Showbands.” This should be an

the Quay Road Hall in Ballycastle was a mecca for young (and perhaps not so young!) people
in those distant “dance-hall days.” All are welcome to attend Bernie’s talk. Admission for
members is free and the fee for visitors is £3. Light refreshments are served at the conclusion
