Crockincarragh clachan is located in the townland of Cross (parish of Culfeightrin) near Fair Head. Please note most of the official figures i.e. population and census information is for the townland of Cross and does not indicate who is living in each of the two clachans of Crockincarragh and Coolanlough.
As the photographs below show, this clachan is now deserted and the buildings are in ruins. The photograph numbers correspond to the numbers in the sketch map.
The links on the right of this page will provide you with more information on the people who occupied the clachan during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
