My gr. grandfather, John Matthews is listed on the birth record of his daughter, Julia in Oct. 1876 in Belfast, as an iron miner. Is there any place I could look for a list of iron miners in Northern Ireland? I was told there weren’t and iron mines around Belfast but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am happy to join your society. Please advise and than you.
