Long ago, when there was no television or radio, people made their own entertainment. They visited each other’s houses. This was called ‘ceilidhing.’ People played instruments, danced, sang and told stories or asked riddles.
St. Mary’s Cushendall went to Carnahaugh, and performed a ceilidh outdoors.

They dressed up in costume and played various instruments. They also danced the ‘Waves of Tory’ and the ‘Walls of Limerick’

St. Ciaran’s PS and Glenann PS practised some Street Games such as Dusty Bluebells, Queenio and The Big Ship Sails Through the Alley Alley-O and then performed them at the local festivals.
