Donnell O’Loan editor of The Glynns recently visited St Killian’s College to speak to Year 10 students about the Glens of Antrim Historical Society now recognised as one of the foremost Historical Societies in Ireland.
Donnell also discussed the goals of the society – to encourage the study of the history, traditions and folklore of the Glens of Antrim and to preserve historical knowledge in the local area. He called on the Year 10 students to make their important contribution to this goal and offered opportunities for students to submit an article for publication in The Glynns.
Over the previous decade, a number of students from St. Killian’s College have had their articles published in the Glynns and are part of the Society’s archive.
